NEW: Information regarding the end of term

With regards to Government guidance around the lifting of restrictions from the 19th July, as per last week's bulletin, there will be no changes to the protection measures in place during the final 2.5 days of term. Details of current measures in place can be found in the parent FAQs.

From Monday 19th July, it will no longer be the responsibility of schools to identify and notify close contacts. Instead this will be carried out by NHS Track and Trace. If your child or a member of your household develops symptoms or tests positive on a Lateral Flow Test you should still self-isolate and book a PCR Test. If the test returns as positive, you will be contacted by NHS Track and Trace who will advise you.

Sports Day - Years 7/8 - Monday 19th July

Please can all year 7 and 8 come into school on Monday in PE kit for Sports day. Please remember to bring sun-cream, caps and water for warm weather.

Last day of term - Wednesday 21st July

The last day of this academic year is Wednesday 21st July 2021. The school day will finish at 1.00pm for students in years 7 & 8 and at 1.10pm for students in years 9 & 10 & 12. Buses have been organised to pick up at these times. Please note that students who catch public buses will need to make alternative arrangements. If your child does not use bus transport, please arrange for their safe travel home at the relevant times as outlined above. Due to the earlier finish, the canteens will be providing extra food at break time, so if your child is eligible for free school meals they should collect them at this time.

NEW: Information regarding the summer holidays

The Government continue to advise everyone to continue regular testing to help reduce the risk of transmission. Kits can be ordered here: Order Self-Testing Kit GOV.UK or collected from your local pharmacy. From the 16th August, close contacts who have been double vaccinated or who are under 18 will no longer need to isolate but will be required to take a PCR test.

Nose Piercings – please remember that nose studs/rings are not permitted in school. For students who choose to have their noses pierced, we would strongly advise doing so at the start of the holidays to allow full 6 week healing and studs to be swapped for a retainer before the start of term.

Coloured Hair/False Nails – please remember these are not permitted in school. For students that like to experiment with hair and nails, please ensure that they are back to a natural state on their first day back in September.

Uniform Items - lastly not all shops sell uniform that meets our standards, and often jeans are advertised as school trousers. Please remember that jeans, leggings and lycra skirts that are less than 3/4 length of the thigh are not appropriate for school. Please do check our website or ask if you are unsure.

PE Kit

Agame are no longer the kit supplier for core PE kit. Wovina are the new PE kit providers from September 2021. Those joining the college in September are to purchase the PE tops from Wovina but those going into Year 8-11 can still purchase "Agame" kit from the PE department at £5 per top - please contact the department directly on the email contacts below. If we cannot find a replacement top or if you would prefer, older year groups can also purchase the new top from Wovina.
