REMINDER: Consultation on PSHE/RSE
As a part of your child's education at Bodmin College, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme. PSHE education is the curriculum subject that helps provide young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy, productive lives furthering their development into responsible global citizens.
Your child currently studies elements of PSHE through curriculum subjects including but not limited to RE, Science, IT and PE. The PSHE policy and curriculum at Bodmin College are currently under review and from September 2022, PSHE will feature more heavily as part of your child's tutor programme with many aspects delivered by their tutor and head of year, alongside visiting speakers.
As a school, we are committed to working in partnership with parents and as such I'd like to invite you to be a part of our consultation on PSHE. The short survey which can be accessed here https://forms.office.com/r/47FfKG20jw will give you the opportunity to share your views on our current provision as well as shape our future curriculum. Our students will also have the opportunity to formally share their views too. Deadline for completion is Wednesday 25th May.
I thank you in advance for completing this survey and I look forward to writing to you again soon, following the review, where I can share an updated policy with you. Mrs Armstrong.
