NEW: Easter testing
Next week, we will be distributing more self-testing kits for students to use over the Easter holidays. Year 8 received theirs today. We would ask that your child continues to test every 3-5 days and record results as normal over the break. If you receive a positive test during the holidays, you will not need to contact us, but you will need to book a PCR test and engage with NHS Track & Trace. Further details about Easter Holiday testing will follow next week.
NEW: Students contacting home
Recently, there have been a number of occasions where a student has contacted home using their own mobile phone, if they have been feeling unwell or are upset/unhappy about something, and parents have arrived to collect students when this hasn't been formally arranged. If you are contacted directly by your child, please ask them to seek support from a member of staff in school or to go to first aid/reception. If you are concerned, please telephone reception before heading to college; we will always contact you to let you know if your child needs to be collected.
NEW: Year 9 Careers Information Evening for parents
Careers Education is a valuable part of the college curriculum that allows your child to make informed decisions about their future. To help you understand the options that are possible for your child’s future and for you to learn more about the content of the college careers programme, we would like to invite parents/carers of Year 9 students to a virtual presentation on Tuesday 30th March at 6.30pm.
The evening will include presenters from Falmouth University talking about the benefits of University and student finance and the ASK apprenticeship service explaining more about the range and levels of apprenticeships available. We will also be joined by our Aspirations team at the college. Please click here to join at 6.30 on Tuesday 30th.
