NEW: Covid 19 Self-Testing During Half Term

The DfE and Public Health England are advising all secondary school students and families to continue their twice weekly Covid19 self-testing at home every Sunday and Thursday evening over the May Half Term Holiday and continue to record their results on both:

Your child should now have received sufficient testing kits to see them through the half term break. Should you need to order any more during the holidays please follow the link: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

NEW: How to report symptoms and positive test results over the Half Term holiday

We hope that it doesn't happen to any of you but, if your child does develop symptoms, tests positive or a member of your household tests positive at the end of term, please inform us immediately. We only need to be notified if symptoms occur within 48 hours of their last day in school, therefore our special out of hours helpline 07780 051728 will be open up until 6pm on Sunday 30th May should you need to contact us. We will then carry out the necessary track and trace procedures to inform any close contacts that may be required to self-isolate. After this 48 hour period, you should follow contact tracing instructions from NHS Test and Trace.

REMINDER: Medical appointments

If your child needs to leave college early for a medical appointment, please can you write the details in your child’s planner on the day, including what the appointment is for and what time they will need to leave. Students can then show their Tutor or Head of Year to organise an exeat for them.

NEW: North Cornwall Rocks

We have been made aware of a new resource for families, created by a local parent, which has just been launched. North Cornwall Rocks is described as the ultimate guide for families living in North Cornwall. The website is split into categories such as: Parks and Walks, Groups and Classes and there are area guides, rainy day suggestions, craft activities and online classes listed too. It’s searchable by day, category, age etc. and aims to support parents with suggestions, inspiration and the information they need without having to trawl the internet. It is hoped that this provides a helpful resource for local and visiting families and helps to generate some extra awareness for local business during these times. The link can be found here: https://www.northcornwallrocks.co.uk/

Don’t forget to record ALL Home-Test results in TWO ways:

1. NHS: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result

2. Bodmin College: PARENT/STUDENT Covid19 Home Self-Test Result Reporting
