Dear Parents/Carers,

In light of the Government’s announcement last night, please note that due to the current Covid19 context within the school and local community, we still require face-coverings* to be worn by students, staff and visitors in all indoor areas including classrooms, corridors, canteens and transport.

(*except where exemptions apply)

We hope that this will be a temporary measure and continue to review this arrangement and other protection measures along with our daily monitoring of Covid cases and update you as the situation changes.

As you know, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of students and staff. This is also currently key in ensuring the College can operate a full, consistent educational provision, minimising the risk of any further closures.

The College’s current Covid19 protection measures, for the immediate future, include:

Face-coverings remain required by students, staff and visitors in all indoor areas including classrooms, corridors, canteens and transport.

High levels of ventilation in all indoor spaces.

Where possible, 2m distance is to be observed in smaller groups/classes.

Additional regular cleaning of shared touch points throughout the day.

Supervision of regular hand-washing.

Recommended at least twice-weekly testing for all students, staff and families (where daily testing is required, parents will be informed in writing).

Vigilance, testing and isolation for anyone exhibiting symptoms, testing positive or being a close contact of a possible case in accordance with government guidance.

Maintaining social distancing where possible and limiting unnecessary mixing by using staggered timings and outdoor spaces where appropriate
